Map

The map shows tea houses, tea shops, plantations and markets. Each place is marked either “Visited by TeaKin” or “Not yet visited”. Visited places carry our notes from the visit and a tea we recommend there. There are no star ratings and no paid listings.

Teas

The tea lexicon covers more than 100 teas from around the world, grouped into green, white, yellow, oolong, black and dark tea. Each entry says what the tea is, how it tastes and how to brew it, with sources. You can search by any name, even the one on the tin: Tung Ting finds Dong Ding.

Passport

The Passport is your own tea log. Add a tasting with a date, an optional rating from 1 to 10, a taste profile and notes. Keep lists of teas you want to try and places you want to visit or have visited. Your Passport is saved in your account and only you can see it.

Who is behind it

Places and teas are picked by Nik, and every tea entry lists its sources. TeaKin is a project of Antonia Tewes & Niklas Beckmann GbR in Germany. Teako, a red panda, is our mascot.

How to join

TeaKin opens as a closed beta on November 17, 2026, for four weeks. Request a seat, and we will be in touch before the start. You can also meet us onDiscord andInstagram, or write to[email protected].
